Our story
A boundary marker binds whoever set it
Since 1990, the same practice at the same address. That is a long time for a company. It is short beside a land title.
In most trades a mistake is corrected and forgotten. In ours it resurfaces fifteen years later, at a sale, an inheritance or a boundary dispute — and someone has to be able to say who measured, with what, and on what basis.
That is what continuity is for. A practice that lasts 36 years is a practice whose files can still be questioned.
1990
The founding
Qualified at IAV Hassan II in 1983, Lhoussaine IHLAL spent three years at ONCF on railway infrastructure, then four training the Ministry of the Interior’s own surveyors. He then established the Bureau d'Études et d'Évaluations in Marrakech. The work came down to one thing: setting boundaries that hold before the administration — the very one whose surveyors he had trained — and before a judge.
Then
The high-end developments
The practice works on major schemes — Royal Palm Marrakech, AKENZA Golf Resort, Al Maaden — for Moroccan and foreign investors. Land expertise becomes its signature.
2011 – 2018
The detour, and it counts
Mohamed Anas IHLAL graduates from ESGT Le Mans in 2011 and joins the family practice. Two years later he leaves to found his own, BEGT, which he runs for five years. The next generation did not simply inherit a practice — it built one.
2019
The merger, and the shift to 3D
With the founder planning the succession, the two firms merge: BEGT closes, its staff and equipment join B2E. The return comes with a decision — equip the practice for 3D capture. A Trimble SX10 in January, an eBee X drone in March, a Phantom 4 RTK in December. Three acquisitions in twelve months.
2024
Mobile capture, and the processing pipeline
A NavVis VLX 2 wearable SLAM scanner arrives — what the SX10 surveys from a fixed point, the VLX 2 captures on the move, registered to the SX10’s own control points. That same month the entire software pipeline is renewed: Trimble Business Center, NavVis SiteMaker, COVADIS, AutoCAD.
Today
Two generations in post
36 years after the founding, the founder still chairs the practice while the second generation runs it day to day. The instruments have changed three times. The name on the drawings never has.

20 people, and few departures
Average tenure is over 12 years. 10 of 20 staff have been with the practice fifteen years or more, the longest since 1995. In a trade where you must be able to explain a measurement taken twenty years ago, that is a firmer guarantee than any certificate.
